The CellarPro Difference |
| Humidity Control |
Can I adjust the humidity inside my wine cellar?
| Adjustable Humidity Control |
| |
Few cooling units allow humidity to be adjusted inside the wine cellar. This can be a problem in low humidity environments, where the humidity inside the wine cellar can dip below 50%.
| CellarPro cooling units allow users to adjust the level of humidity inside their cellars. By simply changing settings on CellarPro's control panel, relative humidity can be increased or decreased inside the wine cellar.

Why are electronic thermostats and digital displays important?
| Electronic Thermostat and Digital Display |
| |
Electronic thermostats maintain temperatures inside wine cellars more precisely than mechanical thermostats.
Digital displays allow temperatures inside the cellar to be viewed.
| All CellarPro cooling units feature precision electronic thermostats and digital displays for viewing temperatures inside wine cellars. In addition, CellarPro cooling units log high and low temperatures inside the cellar. This information also can be viewed on the digital display. |
| Alarms |
Are alarms important? What happens after an alarm is triggered?
| Multiple Alarms - Audible and Visual |
| |
Wine is sensitive to high temperatures and extreme temperature fluctuations. Above 75 degrees, heat will cause a gradual biochemical reaction within the wine, resulting in loss of flavor and a shortened life span. Above temperatures of 90 degrees, wine will degrade rapidly and may become ruined in as little as 24 hours.
Cooling units should signal when high and/or low temperatures are registered so that measures can be taken to protect fine wine collections. Similarly, cooling units should signal system failures which may hamper their ability to maintain proper wine storage conditions.
| CellarPro cooling units are programmed to provide both audible and visual alarms when temperatures exceed preprogrammed high and low temperatures. In addition, CellarPro cooling units have alarms that indicate when maintenance is required, as well as component and system failures.
If your collection is extremely valuable, CellarPro cooling units offer optional alarm relay wiring that can be connected to an extermal alarm system or to an auto-dialer when immediate notification of an alarm is required for remote locations, |
| Auto-Defrost |
Why is auto-defrost important?
| Auto-Defrost Cycle |
| |
If ice collects on the evaporator coils in wine storage cooling units, moisture may enter "dry" areas of the cooling unit and/or drip into the cellar. Ice can also cause damage by fracturing the coils and restrict fans from turning freely.
| CellarPro cooling units are designed to periodically measure the temperature of the evaporator coils and turn off the compressor until the temperature of the coils rise above freezing. This defrost cycle prevents ice from building up on the coils, and is designed to extend the life of the cooling unit.

| Extra Features |
Are there other important features that should be included in wine cellar cooling units?
| Extra Features |
| |
Typically, wine cellar cooling units offer temperature control but unfortunately, not much else. Basic features like an energy-saver mode, auto-defrost and a power on/off switch, are lacking on most wine storage cooling units.
| CellarPro cooling units include many extra features, including:
- an energy saver mode;
- a quick chill mode;
- a maintenance-needed alarm indicator; and
- a power on/off switch
We also offer an optional autodialer, wired to the cooling unit, that will provide immediate notification - up to four phone numbers - in the event of an alarm or power outage. |
